SILCA Protocol RCG-1 Gravel Tyre Black
$159.00
Regular price $135.00The tyres we wanted to ride didn’t exist.
Years of studying tyre pressure, rolling resistance, aerodynamics, vibration losses, rim width, sealant, valves, rim tape, and TPU tubes taught us that a modern race tyre is more than tread and rubber. It’s part of a complete tyre system where every engineering decision affects performance. We weren’t looking to make another tyre. We were looking to build the tyres we wanted to ride. Tyres designed around the conditions we race, the widths we believe modern riders need, and the performance characteristics we value most.
That’s PROTOCOL.
Protocol RCG-1
Directional tread made for fast rolling performances on hardpack gravel, pavement transitions, and high-speed race conditions.
Ideal for:
- Fast gravel race builds
- All-road performance bikes
- Pavement-heavy mixed terrain platforms
Protocol RCG-1 Technologies
Pulsar Compound
Hi-performance rubber/silica race compound engineered to balance rolling efficiency, grip, and durability.
Race Casing
High-performance casing architecutre developed around modern tyre pressures.
CarbonBead BeadLock
Carbon fibre bead technology that maintains dimensional stability throughout the life of the tyre.
Ghost Shield
Lightweight puncture protection optimised for maximum rolling efficiency.

Dimensional Reference
Measured tyre width is based on a 25 mm internal rim width and recorded 24 hours after installation. Actual installed width will vary with rim dimensions.
